Testimonials

In August 2010 I had a life changing incident happen.  As a result of it I lost a career I loved and a home I worked hard to build.  I was always a pretty happy go lucky person but began to fall into a deep depression because of what had happened.  In November of 2011 I decided to make a change and start going to the gym again.  I had gained 40 lbs and was tired of it.  I began working out 5 days a week in the evenings.  I lost about 30 lbs in a period of a year.  I felt like I looked better physically but still wasn't finding the happiness I was looking for.  In September 2012 I decided to make an even bigger change.  I sold everything I owned, enrolled in a 6-month school (to become a personal trainer) at the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI), in Portland Oregon.

I did not realize at the time that I was beginning a personal journey and would slowly begin to experience a much deeper happiness than I had ever felt before.  I learned to become open to new ideas and began to experiment with the things I was learning in school.  I adopted a holistic view on getting healthy in mind, body, and soul.  With a lot of faith I began praying for the strength and courage to make the changes I so desperately needed to make.  I started eating clean, reading at night to relax (educational book), sleeping much better as a result of the reading, I went to a naturopath and had my blood work done, I went to a chiropractor, a acupuncturist, had a few massages, went to a yoga class, and signed up at a gym called ADAPT (a group training gym which I was very uncomfortable with).  I pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone in many different ways and before I knew it I was loosing more weight and feeling good about life and who I was.  These changes helped me to find my purpose again.

I am a firm believer from personal experience that being healthy in mind, body, and soul is the only way to experience true happiness in life.  Making these changes was very scary at the time but I am grateful I had the strength to follow threw with my choices because it has changed my life in so many positive ways.  :-)
